Damage Waiver
For your peace of mind during your rental period, we offer an optional Damage Waiver that covers minor damages, allowing you to fully enjoy your dress without worry.
Damage Waiver is NOT available for Bag Hire
What's Included in the Damage Waiver:

Small and minor damages such as:
- Broken zippers
- Small seam repairs
- Loose threads
- Straps (excluding multiple pulls)

Small marks or stains that can be removed with cleaning or dry cleaning (excluding multiple stains or unremovable marks)

Minor tailoring needs such as hem adjustments or zip replacements (typically $15-$50 in repairs).
What's Not Covered by the Damage Waiver:
- Loss, theft, or misplacement of the item or any part of the garment (e.g., a strap or additional pieces)

Irreparable damage, including:
- Rips, tears, holes, cigarette burns, or any damage beyond repair
- Large stains or marks that cannot be removed after cleaning
- Incorrect returns, such as sending the dress back via a post drop box or street drop box
- Late returns — the damage waiver does not cover late returns, and you will still be invoiced for any late fees
- Bag Hire
Additional Important Terms:

The rented garment must still be returned to us even if it is accidentally damaged.

The Damage Waiver is non-refundable under any circumstance and only covers minor damages or cleaning needs. It does not cover damages that are unrepairable or marks/stains that cannot be removed.

One Damage Waiver applies per item in your order. If you have multiple items and want each one covered, you must purchase an additional Damage Waiver for each item. For example, if you have two items in your cart and only one Damage Waiver, it will cover only the cheaper item for minor damages.

Please note, the Damage Waiver is simply a back-up to save you from the cost of minor repairs and dry cleaning. If the garment sustains irreparable damage, you will be responsible for paying the full replacement cost of the item.
By adding the Damage Waiver, you're agreeing to these terms and conditions. Treat the garment with care, and it will help ensure others can enjoy it as well!

How do I know what size to book?
Every dress lists the exact size we stock, the recommended fit range (for example "best on a large 6–8"), and a stretch rating out of 3, so you can match it to your usual size. If you're still unsure, book a try-on or message us before you book.
What if the dress doesn't fit on the day?
The best way to avoid this is a try-on first, every listing also shows the recommended fit and stretch so you can book with confidence.
If you are a local pick up we are happy to arrange a swap in the event your dress doesn't fit, please contact us to arrange this.
If you are a postal order, dependent on the day we may be able to arrange a swap (you will need to re-pay for shipping and any price difference). Please contact us to arrange this. We cannot guarantee we will be able to offer a swap for postal orders.
Can I try a dress on before I book?
Yes. We offer in-person try-ons in Mosgiel, Dunedin, and postal try-ons for anyone outside the area, so you can check the fit before committing to your event date.
Will my dress arrive in time for my event?
Short answer is yes it should, we schedule delivery so your dress arrives on or before your selected delivery or pick up date. Just book your rental dates around your event and choose carefully at checkout. If you're ever worried about timing, message us and we'll make sure you're sorted.
There is always a small element of risk with renting that you may experience a disruption but this is very rare and unfortunately unlucky, and we will always been in touch if it looks like your rental may be affected.
How long is the rental period?
All rentals are automatically set to a 4-day duration. If you need your rental for longer please contact us here to arrange this prior to booking.
Where do I find my tracking number?
Your tracking number will be emailed through during the fulfilment process, the week of your event.
These can sometimes end up in your spam/junk folder so be sure to check these!
Where/When do I pick my rental up?
We offer pick ups located in Mosgiel, Dunedin. You will be emailed pick up instructions on your selected pick up date.
What if I want to cancel my rental?
We completely understand that plans can change.
For cancellations made 1 or more days before the rental start date, the item will be made available for other customers to rebook.
If the item is rebooked for the same rental date, a refund will be issued minus a $5 processing fee.
If the item is not rebooked, store credit will be issued for the full rental amount paid.
Please note:
- Refunds, cancellations, or store credits are not available once an order has been fulfilled, shipped, collected, or a pick-up notification has been sent.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable once dispatched.
- Store credit is non-transferable.
