There's a moment before every ball, 21st, race day or wedding where you think: I have nothing to wear. The old fix was dropping a few hundred dollars on a dress you'd wear once, then leaving it to gather dust in the back of your wardrobe. Renting is the easier (and kinder-on-your-bank-account) way to do it. You get the designer piece you actually want, wear it to your event, and send it back, no big spend, no dry-cleaning, no clutter.

Why rent instead of buy?
Most of our pieces are designer labels, Aje, Rat & Boa, House of CB, Arcina Ori and more, that retail for hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars. Renting means you wear the same dress for a small fraction of that price. Every listing shows both the rental price and the original RRP, so you can see exactly what you're saving.
It's kinder on your wardrobe, too. Instead of a one-wear dress taking up space, someone else gets to love it after you. That's the sustainable, share-it-around way to do special-occasion dressing, and it means you can wear something different to every event without the cost or the guilt.
How it works, step by step
- Browse the collection. Filter by size, occasion, colour and style to find something for your event. We only have one of each piece and limited sizes, so if you love it, don't sit on it too long.
- Check your date and book. Every listing has a booking calendar, pick the date of your event, and if it's available you can book it right there at checkout.
- Choose delivery or pickup. We courier NZ-wide, or you can pick up free if you're in Dunedin.
- Wear it. Your dress arrives on or before your chosen date, cleaned and ready to go.
- Send it back. Return it the next business day in the prepaid courier bag we include (or drop it back to us if you're local). Standard cleaning's on us, there's nothing to wash.
That's it. No deposits to chase, no returns admin.
Getting the fit right
The number-one thing people worry about is fit, and that's fair when you're booking for one big day. We've made it as low-stress as possible:
- Try before you book. We offer in-person try-ons in Dunedin and postal try-ons for anyone outside the area, so you can check the fit before you lock in your event date.
- Every listing has fit notes. You'll see the recommended size and how much stretch a dress has, so you're not guessing.
- Swaps for local pickups. If you're picking up in Dunedin and something doesn't sit quite right, get in touch and we'll do our best to swap it.
There's also an optional damage waiver at checkout that covers the small stuff, a little wear (small alcohol and food stains etc) on the night is completely normal and nothing to stress about.

We're based in Dunedin and ship right across the country.
- NZ-wide courier: $10 to residential addresses, $15 rural, and both include your return shipping.
- Free Dunedin pickup: local? Skip the courier fee entirely.
Your dress arrives on or before your chosen date (for pickups, we'll email you on the day with collection details). Once your event's over, pop it in the prepaid return bag and drop it at a courier point the next business day. Done.

What if the dress doesn't fit?
Book a Dunedin try-on or a postal try-on anywhere in NZ before locking in your date. Every listing also has fit notes.
Is cleaning included?
Yes, standard cleaning's on us. Just return the dress; there's nothing to wash. If you have selected our damage waiver one round of dry cleaning is also included.
What happens if I mark the dress?
A little wear on the night, such as small food or drink marks, is normal and nothing to stress about.
There's also an optional damage waiver at checkout, from $8.99. It covers small marks and stains that come out with cleaning, minor repairs like loose threads or a broken zip, and small tailoring fixes, and one round of dry cleaning so a bit of wear on the night isn't something to stress about.
