Postal Try Ons

We offer a postal try on service for those wanting to try on dresses but who aren't based in Dunedin.

Please note we cannot guarantee we will be able to offer you a postal try on, as this is a limited service that works around bookings!

How it works:

  1. Fill out the form below with your first and last name, email, phone number, the dress/es you'd like to try on (up to 3 at one time), and the date of the event you'd be wearing the dress for.
  2. Press submit and we'll add your request to our list.
  3. We'll be in touch on Wednesday night, either that same week, or the next Wednesday night once your requested dress/es become available (if they're currently out on rental or booked).
  4. In that email we'll send you a 50% off code to book your postal try on. This code is valid for a limited time only, which will be stated in the email, you'll need to book within that window to secure your try on.
  5. When booking, please ignore the auto-selected 4-day rental duration, your postal try on is returned the same day it's delivered, so this duration does not apply.
  6. Once booked, your postal try on is sent out to you via overnight courier.
  7. The postal try on must be sent back the SAME DAY it is delivered. Please do not request a postal try on if you won't be able to do this, fees apply for dress/es not returned the same day they're delivered (see Terms & Conditions below).
  8. If you'd like to book the dress for your event date, please complete a new booking through the website. Please note we cannot guarantee your dress will remain available for your event date.

The cost:

The 50% off code gives you 50% off the rental price of the dress/es you've requested, that discounted amount is your postal try on fee (excluding shipping).

A couple of things that may affect your booking, which we'll always confirm with you before you book:

  • ID may be required. Depending on the value of the dress/es requested, we may ask you to provide ID before your try on is booked.
  • Shipping may cost a little more. Depending on the bag size needed to fit your dress/es, additional shipping may apply. If it does, we'll let you know prior to booking so there are no surprises.

Please note: The postal try on fee covers the admin involved in getting your dress/es ready, packed and sent off. It also covers the time we black out the dress/es, during which they could otherwise have been rented at full price. For this reason, the postal try on fee is not refunded or credited towards your rental.

Important Note: We cannot guarantee we'll be able to offer you a postal try on before your event date. Postal try ons work around bookings, which always take priority. We'll be in contact on Wednesday night once your requested dress/es are available.
